Isabelle Marinov is an author, screenwriter and newly minted fitness coach. Isabelle was a clueless daydreamer in high school, and, unsure of her path, went to study law in France and the US. She has worked in the legal world for 15 years before becoming a full time author. 

Her picture books, published by Templar (an imprint of Bonnier Books UK) and Enchanted Lion Books (USA), have been translated into many languages including Korean and Chinese. Two of them are currently in development for a film adaptation with Deal Productions and Studio Mélusine (animation). Her latest, Henri and the Machine, has been nominated for the Klaus Flugge Prize 2024 (UK). Isabelle also wrote a non-fiction picture book for Oxford University Press, To Meet A Comet, published in August 2024. Her debut middle-grade novel Boy Underground was published by Sweet Cherry Publishing in 2023, it was shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Award 2024 in the UK and the Prix Servais in Luxembourg, and is in development a film adaptation (live action) with Deal Productions. Its sequel, Boy Overboard, will be published in 2025. Isabelle is currently working on the film adaptation of several of her books and she hopes to finish the first draft of her adult novel by the end of the year. ‘One fine evening with…’ is a carefully curated evening dedicated to an established or emerging talent from Luxembourg. Artists from the fields of music, dance, visual arts or literature will alternately present their body of work. We take the time to devote an entire evening to an artist, delving into the driving force behind their creations – their desires, fears, and sources of inspiration.

"One fine evening with..." offers an intimate glimpse into each artist's world and will be hosted by Luc Spada.

The conversation with the artist will be conducted in Luxembourgish.
