In his new work, Luxembourg choreographer William Cardoso plunges us into the intimacy of two bodies evolving in a world in perpetual mutation. Their bond, both deeply personal and universal, becomes a reflection of the tensions that run through our contemporary society – a society that, like a wave, oscillates between harmony and chaos.



Angriff stands as a counter-attack against social oppression, tackling the question of the external gaze: that of a society that observes, judges, and shapes human relationships. By casting the audience in the role of voyeurs, the show highlights different dynamics of power and conflict, and aims to make us reflect on the very nature of love and its potential for salvation.

With this intense and sensual piece, William Cardoso transports us to ‘that space where the other is free to destroy all that exists’, as described by Roland Barthes, and invites us to a raw and sincere interrogation of our interactions in a universe where love, violence, and desire are inextricably intertwined, and where revolt appears to be the sole driver of transformation.
