Screening @Kinosch - Squatfabrik #4

As part of SQUATFABRIK #4, the film "The Man with the Camera" (original title: Chelovek s kinoapparatom), by Soviet director Dziga Vertov, will be screened on October 18th @Kinosch, at 8pm.

The film shows and recounts the daily life of a major Soviet city, Odessa, through the eyewitness camera of Dziga Vertov and his brother Michaïl Kaufman, which was given complete freedom of investigation, fantasy and innovation. Whirling around the four corners of the city at the natural pace of the day, the man with the camera travels through an everyday space that he transforms and reinvents. Superimpositions, gimmicks, poetry and dialectics come together wonderfully in this unforgettable masterpiece.
