This Sunday, the program ventures beyond jazz to explore new directions, seizing the opportunity of New York artist Morley’s European tour. Morley weaves together elements of jazz, soul, and folk traditions from around the world to create a unique sonic tapestry, reflecting her deep commitment to human rights and environmental issues, themes that are also dear to neimënster. Performing in an acoustic duo with Chris Bruce, she will present her new studio album, Follow The Sound. A prolific and innovative artist, Morley has collaborated with numerous artists from diverse backgrounds, styles, and traditions, including Joan As Police Woman whom we welcomed when her career debuted, Toshi Reagon, Amadou and Mariam, Lokua Kanza, Richard Bona, Youn Sun Nah, William Parker, Brian Blade, James Genus, and Jon Cowherd.
